PIƎCƎ at ITAMI JUN MUSEUM
LOCATION: ITAMI JUN MUSEUM (JEJU, KR)
supported by Just Project (KR), Total Marble (KR), and Heungwang (KR)
Our new version of PIƎCƎ has been exhibited from September 1st to October 1st at ITAMI JUN MUSEUM in Jeju (South Korea) as a part of ART TRACK JEJU 2023 by SPEEKER.
The new PIƎCƎ series was exhibited in the outside area of ITAMI JUN MUSEUM, called Bille in the Jeju dialect, which is the wide, smooth areas created by lava. The new PIƎCƎ series was set in accordance with the natural curves of Bille, a vestige of nature’s innate power, and shows our innocent curiosity and joy forming the main story of THE NAIVE SIDE.
We have used surplus stones discarded after processing, recycled plastics, and recycled acrylic plates to convey the spirit of Itami Jun, who listened to the story of each material and paid attention to its characteristics as well as its harmony with nature.
Demonstrating the increasingly blurred boundaries between nature and industry and juxtaposing them here, THE NAIVE SIDE tells the stories of the contemporary.
